Frankco J. Harris
The Rev. Dr. Frankco J. Harris hails from the home of the Civil Rights Movement- Montgomery, Alabama. Desiring to raise their son in the admonition of the Lord, his parents, Deacon and Missionary Eddie F. Harris, kept him highly involved in the church.
Having a desire to become a trained musician, Dr. Harris obtained a full music scholarship to Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. While matriculating at Alabama A&M, he shined as a first tenor and lead soloist in the University Choir. He earned both his Bachelors and Masters in Music Education.
However, Dr. Harris knew that God had an even greater calling on his life. As he continued singing and touring in Europe, God began to increase his boundaries. His singing soon became enriched with sermonic overtones. He truly felt the manifestations of Acts 2:17, in his life. He felt the tug of God taking him to another realm of ministry.
As a result, Dr. Harris enrolled in New York Theological Seminary and received a Masters of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) in Urban Youth Ministry, a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) in Religious Studies, and completed his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree concentrating in Worship, Spirituality and Preaching at Drew University.
Dr. Harris is the Pastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church of Hollis in St. Albans, New York. His electrifying preaching and singing has blessed many to maintain and gain a closer relationship with God. Under his administration, Mt. Olivet has grown both numerically and financially. Many revitalization projects have been completed and many more are set to be completed.
Dr. Harris also promotes his non-profit organization F.A.M.E (Frankco’s Academy for Music Education), where he serves as President and CEO in the endorsement of music education for inner-city youth.
Dr. Harris is married to Valerie Harris, a New York City teacher. Together they have found zeal for educating youth and helping them to explore their God-given talents. They are also the proud parents of a precocious little boy, Frankco, and little girl Janae.
